Small Human, Big Feelings © 2020 adopts the RULER (Recognize, Understand, Label, Express, Regulate) approach, an evidence-based approach approach to social and emotional learning developed at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. The feeling box is a useful tool to help you and your loved ones to Recognize and Label your emotions, two of the important aspects of the RULER approach. You can then learn to understand the emotional triggers and experiences as well as how to express and regulate your emotions that brings the best out of you!
Each Small Human, Big Feelings © 2020 feeling box comprises 30 feeling word cards specially designed & drawn by hand by our 11 year old chief design officer! The feeling box is designed with kids (by kids!) in mind, using a cute dog character (inspired by our own golden retriever, Brownie!) and simple language describing each emotions.
The feeling box focuses on 6 primary emotions – Happy, Sad, Anger, Fear, Disgust & Surprise. Below are the sample of how the feeling word cards look. Each card is 14.8 cm by 10.5 cm printed on premium paper with matt finish.
